If you're looking for a minivan that is packed with technology and has a proven safety record, you'll definitely want to add the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica to your list. Having delivered 37 segment firsts in its debut earlier this year, Pacifica is certainly no stranger to accolades, and yesterday, FCA US LLC reported that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently designated it as a Top Safety Pick+.
On its way to earning the coveted "plus" rating, Pacifica aced all five crashworthiness assessments with the highest score of "good" thanks in large part to the high-strength steel that accounts for more than 70 percent of its construction. Furthermore, its Forward Collision Warning-Plus system earned the highest score of superior for front crash prevention.
“Having sold more than 14 million minivans since inventing the segment in 1983, we know what’s important to minivan buyers,” says Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – FCA North America. “The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is the sum of all the knowledge we’ve accumulated about minivans and the people who are proud to own them. Among the things we know – safety is one of the most important purchase reasons and achieving the Top Safety Pick+ rating helps to establish Pacifica as the segment leader.”
