It's been more than a month since we've observed the social media convention that is Throwback Thursday, here at Gilberts of Sand Creek. When we saw today's tweet from Jeep (@Jeep), we knew it would be a perfect time to dive back into the tradition.
Check out the following picture of a classic Jeep vehicle. It's extremely cropped so only a few identifying features are visible. Do you consider yourself a serious Jeep enthusiast? If so, can you name the year and model? We'll tell you what we think, after the tweet.
It's vintage. It's yellow. It's our #TBT. Can you name this Jeep brand vehicle? pic.twitter.com/iQbszwaWR6

In the tweet, Jeep calls attention to the color yellow. The vehicle that immediately came to mind was the Cherokee Chief. Introduced as a trim upgrade in 1975, the Chief featured large fender and wide axles in order to accommodate larger tires for better off-road performance. There aren't many other identifying features in the picture, so that's the answer we're going with. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
